The Institut Pasteur, together with the Robert-Debré Hospital, Université Paris Cité, Inserm, and the CEA, has announced the creation of the Robert-Debré Institute for the Child’s Brain (IRDC), an ambitious IHU (University Hospital Institute) that aims to revolutionize how we understand and support neurodevelopmental trajectories.
Conceived as a bridge between basic research, clinical practice, and educational sciences, the IRDC will focus on early detection, prevention, and personalized care for conditions such as autism, ADHD, developmental coordination disorders, and learning disabilities.
Beyond offering a cutting-edge research environment, the Institute will develop:
an innovation platform linking scientists, clinicians, designers and start-ups,
a living lab engaging families directly in the co-creation of new tools and strategies,
and an ecosystem encouraging the emergence of digital solutions to support children throughout their development.
This initiative marks a milestone for child mental health and developmental medicine, offering a new framework for interdisciplinary collaboration, an approach deeply aligned with the values and mission of the INCEPTION programme.
